Telework occurs when information and communications technologies enable work to be done at a distance from the place where the work would conventionally have been done.

It includes:

Home-based telework (or "telecommuting"), when an employee works at home instead of traveling to an employer's or a customer's premises,

An alternative to home-based telework...telework centers.

Mobile or roaming work…work that is performed from wherever the employee happens to be.
